Refund & Cancellation Policy
Scope
This policy applies to paid consulting engagements with Redwood Core Business Consulting, including profitability analysis projects, cost structure reviews, margin improvement workshops, and financial health assessments. Website browsing and initial scoping calls are free and not subject to refund.
Engagement Deposits
A deposit of thirty to fifty percent of the quoted fee is required to reserve consultant time and begin data collection. The deposit amount and due date are stated in your engagement letter.
Cancellation by Client
More than fourteen business days before the scheduled start: deposit refunded in full minus any third-party costs already incurred (travel bookings, data platform fees).
Seven to fourteen business days before start: fifty percent of the deposit retained; remainder refunded within fourteen business days.
Fewer than seven business days before start: deposit is non-refundable. If work has not begun, we may credit a portion toward a rescheduled engagement within six months at our discretion.
Rescheduling
One reschedule at no charge is permitted if requested at least seven business days before the original start date. Additional reschedules or late requests may incur a rebooking fee of ten percent of the engagement fee.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled workshop, site visit, or kickoff call without notice is treated as a no-show. The session fee for that day is non-refundable. We will attempt to reach you by phone and email before declaring a no-show.
Work Already Started
Once analysis has begun and deliverables are in progress, fees for completed phases are non-refundable. If you terminate an engagement mid-project, you owe fees proportional to work completed plus any non-recoverable expenses.
Deliverable Acceptance
If you believe deliverables do not match the signed scope, notify us in writing within ten business days of delivery. We will review and, where justified, revise at no additional charge. Refunds are considered only when a material scope shortfall cannot be remedied.
Non-Refundable Items
Purchased data subscriptions, booked travel, third-party research licenses, and printed report batches are non-refundable once ordered on your behalf.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen business days. Bank transfer refunds may take additional time depending on your institution.
Cancellation by Redwood Core
We reserve the right to cancel an engagement if you fail to provide required financial data within the agreed timeline, if a conflict of interest emerges, or if payment is overdue by more than thirty days. In such cases, fees for work completed remain due; unused deposit portions are refunded minus costs incurred.
